Learn more about billing, insurance plans and Medicare.
We accept most major insurance plans. In order to serve you better, a copy of your insurance card is needed at each visit. All insurance copayments and deductibles are due at the time of service. We accept cash, check, MasterCard and Visa as payment options. We will gladly file your charges with your insurance carrier. For a list of accepted insurances, scroll below. For other billing questions, call us at 910-754-4441 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Billing for tests
Labs and other tests performed outside our office will be billed by the entity performing the test.
We participate with most of the major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance carrier to confirm that Oceanside Family Medicine physicians are providers for your plan.
We are participating physicians for Medicare. We accept assignment and will be happy to file your claims with Medicare.
ABN (advanced beneficiary notice) waivers
Medicare may not cover all of the services you may receive. For example your annual pelvic, breast and pap tests are only covered every other year. You may have an injection or a procedure that Medicare deems not medically necessary. You will be ask to sign a ABN (advance beneficiary notice) waiver stating the possibility of non coverage was explained to you for the service and that you are aware you may be billed for the services.
